A Bridge called Love. It takes us back to brighter years, to happier sunlit days and to precious moments that will always be with us always. And these fond recollections are treasured in the heart to bring us close to those from who we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories from Earth to Heaven Above...it keeps our dear ones near us. It's the Bridge we call LOVE....

Souls do not disintegrate and die; year pass away and yet they do not fade away. Memories are like a distant star pouring forth it's light across the void. All of our tears and laughter do not lie; though we pass like dreams, our spirits stay, held fast by love, which is just what we are, yet in a form that cannot be destroyed.

GOD gave us love and happiness, and all that love could hold, but just when life was sweetest, he called my loved one home, too kind to live, too good to lose, but it was not left for me to choose.

As raindrops fell from the misty sky...and teardrops fell from my swollen eyes, I know my heart was not suppose to grieve, for GOd called you home, your pain for Him to relieve. But to those left behind, comforting words are hard to find....As you are sitting there on Heaven's Stairs, know that every day I will say a prayer to thank you for all the things you have done, for all the laughter, all the fun. I miss you more as time goes by. You were and are my best friend. I love you, J.H.

Many of our loved ones are off to war. They leave us behind for distant shores. They seek out our enemies to even the score. But some of them we may never see once more.--We give them our thanks and pray each day for GOD to watch over them while they are away. We know they will do their duty for they are brave, to fight those who would make us their slave. It is the Armed Forces who fight to keep us free, for they are willing to die for you and me. They will do their duty until victory is achieved. If they die as your beloved John their family will surely grieve.--They are my heroes, so brave, so young, and true; fighting to protect our Flag the RED, WHITE, and BLUE.-- It is through the American Spirit is renewed and recognition for their sacrifices is long overdue.

Cry your tears of sorrow, then lay your tears aside; don't weep for me forever, or in your sorrow hide.--For I am more alive today, than I ever was before, I am just one heartbeat away from you, on the other side of the door.--To a new life full and free; because of Christ, I've run the race, and now have victory.--So don't stand there and weep for me, my battle is now won, pick up your helmet, sword, and shield, you have a race to run.

You have only crossed a little bridge-not so far away. So everytime we close our eyes-we will hear you gently say..." My heart will never leave you. If you call me-I will come. I'm forever watching over you because I'll always be your son."

I can almost see you smile in the shadows of my mind, bringing to me the peace I have struggled so hard to find.~~ I can almost hear your voice telling me " Be not saddened or afraid, just remember all the good, how we loved and laughed and played." ~~ I can almost feel your touch wiping away my tears, as I stand among my shattered dreams, letting me know you are still near.~~ I can almost hear you say, " One day, you'll be here too. Live the life you have before you. For I will be waiting to welcome you."

John, we love you so , we miss you. But, the love you showed us will live on within us for evermore. Thank you for the priceless gifts you gave over your short 22 years. Your generosity of spirit, you were always so willing to share what you had with others. There was not a selfish bone in your whole body.~~ " Those we hold most dear never really leaves us...they live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives."

This is to the most loving and kind man who ever graced this world. He was a wonderful, wonderful person. Anyone who was blessed with one moment of his dynamic life knows that they stood in the presence of pure love. No one could ever love more.~~ GOD knew when he sent you to this world, you could handle the tasks you were given. When you were finished doing your tasks he took you home.~~ We were so blessed to have had you in all of our lives. No one can ever take your place, for you were simply one in a million. We will always love and miss you John. You were the brother many of us never had.~~ Your friends from Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Blue C. Rowe

I am the Chaplain, along with 1SG Obalabi, who made this notification. This was my fifth death notification in 2009. I remembered this one like it was yesterday, and I routinely think about 1SG Rowe’s wife and their son, who was seven at the time. This notification stands out to me because we had to come back to the house a few times because no one was home. We finally saw a light on around 2130, and I and 1SG O went to the door and knocked. 1SG Rowe’s wife answered the door, and it was clear that his wife was not registering why we were there. She did invite us, and we sat down at the table, and ISG O made the notification. 1SG Rowe’s wife said, "Are you sure?" She asked that question five times, and I finally said, " Ma’am, we would not be here if we were not sure. Her response to us was, I just spoke to him a couple of days ago, and he was supposed to come home next week. She immediately got up from the table, called her dad, and notified him. She collapsed to the floor and was crying. The 1SG and I just stood there. We were there for a while, and I remembered that when she asked me to pray, I had to pause a few times to keep from losing it. Cindy, I thought about your husband through the years, and I often wondered how you and your son are doing. I have often prayed for you and your family. And I thank your husband for his sacrifice to our country. I do hope you see this, and I will continue to pray for you and your family. God Bless You Chaplain Will Strong Jr. US Army Retired Romans 8:37

Phil worked for me when he volunteered to deploy to Iraq with the Joint Contracting Command. He was a great officer, a great friend and an incredible husband/father. He was just a couple of days away from returning from his deployment. I received an email from him on 5 April requesting to stay a bit longer so he could finish the job started. I had not yet responded to his email when I was notified by our Commanding Office on Easter morning that Phil had been killed. Miss you Phil!

David A Wilkey Jr

A good young man. My son's best friend.

Jose Ricardo Flores-Mejia

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

Frank E. Adamski III

To the family of Frank Adamski, including his wife and daughter, my sincere condolences. I plan to make sure he is never forgotten.
