Roger hated red tape, but was an expert at breaking through it. To his family, he was the center of their circle. To all who met him, he was the grumpy old man with the twinkle in his eye that immediately let you know who was really in charge. To those who knew him well, he was a caring person with a deep love for our country. He was my aide. He was my friend. He will forever be my hero.
